Creating With The Stay Cool Stamp, Stencil and Die

Hi crafty friends, it’s Joy here and I’m sharing the Stay Cool stamp, stencil and die. I love that they all coordinate, it makes it so easy to create a card with this collection. I’m always wearing flip flops and love summer, so this design absolutely called my name. I hope you enjoy!

I wanted to make a fun sand background, so I did some ink blending with Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide inks on a white A2 background. Then I splattered the panel with gold metallic watercolor and with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed that panel down 1/4″ on all sides.

I stamped the image from the Stay Cool stamp set with black ink, then I used the coordinating stencil and ink blended the images. I used Simon Says Inks for the coloring. For the flip flops – Peachy, Leaves – Pearfection, Field, Flower – Guava, Lemonade, Waves – Surf. I added two colors for the flower, I wanted it to have a pretty pink center and bright yellow tips.

I stamped the sentiment with clear ink and gold heat embossed it. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the sentiment and flip flops. I adhered them to the inked background with foam tape for dimension then adhered the panel to a white A2 and then added some clear dew drops to finish off the card.
