Winter Solstice

Tuesday is here and so am I…Katie.. Christmas is almost upon us for those that celebrate, also, winter is almost officially upon us. It is expected to snow where I live on the first day of winter!! I’d don’t like a lot of snow, but a little blanket of white each year for a brief period gives me a smile. Appropriately so, I have a winter themed card to share today.

Seriously, just love the sentiment and the fun colors. Perfect for the coming winter solstice. Here is how I made this one:

I started by stamping the image from the Mugs and Kisses on white cardstock with my Misti. Then i colored it with Copics using C1, BG49. BG45, BG15, V25, V17, V12, YR04, RV10. I added white highlights and then cut it out with the coordinating Mugs and Kisses Die set. Next, I used some paper from the Winter Wonderland pack, cut to 4 X 5.25 and adhered it on the white based with my EZ Tear Tape. I used more of the paper with the Concave Rectangle Dies and mounted this layer next. After that, i stamped the sentiment on the polka dot layer. Then I used the purple glitter cardstock from the Summer Glitter Paper Pack and cut it using the Stacked Snowflake Die. I mounted this layer next and then added my image by popping it up with foam tape.

I think it turned out super cute and I love the winter feel. This card is great from friends who may not celebrate Christmas or maybe just love winter or the winter solstace. The colors and sweet and the sparkles are fun.

What do YOU think? Yes, no, maybe? I’ll hope for a yes.

Thanks so much for visiting me today!
