Way to Glow

Hey there, it’s Katie again with a fun card using the new stamp and die of the month subscription set. This set is so stinking cute, let me prove it!

See, I wasn’t joking! This card was so fun to make too. Here is how I did it.

First I stamped out my elements from the Way to Glow stamp set– the jar and lightning bugs on Copic Friendly paper. I used the coordinating Way to Glow dies to cut them out. I colored them with my Copics (YG23, YG11, G40, B000, B05, B23, B32, RV21, RV25, V12, V91, V05, YR21, YR31, C5, C3, C1). I used a sparkle pen on the little lightbulb butts. I added some highlights with my gel pen. Inside my jar, I made the edges blue with my Mini Ergonomic Blending Brush. Inside I used a Stipple brush to create halos for my stars with some Mustard Distress Oxide. Then I stamped the stars in the middle. I used some of the All Occasion Floral paper to create the cover on the jar and added shadows with my Copics. For the backdrop, I started with a medium blue cardstock and added some yellow distress ink in the middle and darker blues around the outside. I used the Sun Ray Embossing Folder to add the pop. Then I added some color using an ink refill to splatter some yellow around the edges. I used a die with some green cardstock to create the grass, mounted it and then added my bugs and other elements. Finally, I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of purple cardstock to make the purple pop above and die cut it using the Large Sentiment Strip Dies. I mounted it and done!

So do you think it is one of the cutest sets ever? I sure do. Can’t wait to play with it more.

Be sure to check this out in the shop and all the other inspiration.

Thanks for visiting! ~Katie
