Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here from donnaisplayingpaper. I have a sweet one layer card to share with you today. This type of card is great to take with you when you travel. You can pre stamp the image and sentiment, then all you need is colouring pencils, and you have a card!
Today’s card uses an adorable stamp set called Snow One Like You. I stamped the cute little fishing penguin onto some blue card using a pale ink. That way the lines would disappear when I coloured the image. I used a mix of colour pencils – polychromos and prismacolors mostly- to colour the image. Although it is called no line colouring, I still use a slightly darker hand at the lines, so that you can see the shapes of the image well.
The sentiment comes from the same stamp set and I heat embossed this in white after stamping it with clear embossing ink.
This one layer card is great relaxation, as coloured pencils take time to layer up until you get the final image. I hope that you have had a wonderful start to the new year, and that you are feeling ready to take on what the rest of the year holds.
