Happy Wednesday! Katie here today with a fun card that is as sweet as can bee…. or sweeter than you can bear!
For this card, I started by stamping and die cutting the images from the Sweeter than Honey stamp of the month. Next, I colored them with my Copics (YR23, YR15, Y13, RV66, RV44, YG23, YG03, C1, BG10, E11, E13, E15, E21, E27). Then, I added white gel highlights and for the bear (pretending to be a bee), I used a black glaze pen for the eyes and nose. I set these aside and went to pick out my background paper. Initially, i was going to use DP, but then I decided would make my own DP using the Nested Hexagon Dies and Cardstock. For the cardstock, I used River Walk and The Park cardstock, as well as yellow from my stash. I created the base using the larger size of hexagon and adhering it using my EZ Tear Tape. Once those were set, I used some smaller hexagons, my images and foam tape to set up my scene. Lastly, I drew in some flight lines for my bee and stamped my sentiment on a small blue hexagon.
The coloring was super fun and I love these images. Putting together the background was fairly easy once I knew what I wanted to do, but I like the contrast and the way it draws your eye.
This card was fun and different for me. I hope you like it and I thank you for visiting!
