Stamping Through A Stencil

Hello crafty friends, it’s Joy here! I made three cards for you today using a stencil and stamps. I thought it would be really pretty to stamp floral images through a butterfly stencil. I used Betty’s Butterflies Stencil and the Wildflowers stamp to create these cards. I hope you enjoy!

Betty’s Butterflies stencil has three large butterflies on it, there are two stencils, one that is the shape of the butterfly and open and the other has the details for the butterfly. I used the open stencil for my design. I ink blended all three butterflies on white cardstock with different colors ( Orchid and Sweets, Limelicious and Surf, Lemonade and Cheeky..SSS inks).

Once they were dry, I put them into my Misti with the stencil again. I want to stamp the flowers and leaves from the Wildflowers stamp set, through the butterfly stencil, so I place the stencil over the images again and taped it down. Then I added the stamps and stamped them with black ink. So now the floral images are only stamped in the butterfly.

Then I used the Misti to stamp some butterflies from the Wildflowers stamp set and I let some of them go outside the ink blended butterfly images. I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiments from the Floral Wings stamp set. I popped those up with foam tape for dimension. I trimmed down the stenciled panel and added a black mat behind it and then adhered it to a white A2 card base. I finished with gold sequins.

I hope you enjoyed this project, have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
