Hi everyone! Samantha here back on the Pink and Main blog and I am so excited to share a sneak peek from this Friday’s new release. It’s Pink and Main’s tenth birthday and this coming release is really something to special.
To celebrate, I made this cute card featuring a few of the wonderful new products, including one of my favorites, the Mice Birthday Stamp Set. I first stamped these cute images onto Xpress-It paper using black ink before coloring them with Copic markers. Once my coloring was complete, I cut out the images using the matching Mice Birthday Dies.
Next, I needed to create a background for my little mice, so I selected a sheet from the new Birthday Backgrounds Foilable Sheets featuring birthday banner images. These sheets are nice and large at 8.5″ x 5.5″ giving you lots of options for different sized cards. I decided I only wanted a small foil panel, so I cut my Foilable Sheet down to 2.5″ x 5.5″ before adding Ombre Pastel Cheerfoil and running them together through my Mini Minc Foiling Machine.
To further dress things up, I then used a die from the the Fun Scallop Border Dies, another favorite of mine from the February 2024 release, to cut two decorative scallop borders in a dark teal cardstock for either side of my foilable sheet. Once I glued down my borders to the foilable sheet, I then adhered everything to A2-sized card panel in light aqua cardstock before gluing the card panel to a white A2-sized card base. It was time to add on the mice and I used a little foam tape to pop them up and give them dimension.
To finish everything off I selected a simple Happy Birthday sentiment from the new A Gift for You Stamp Set, which has some adorable new images you will be seeing soon. I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder onto the same teal cardstock I used for my scalloped border, before die-cutting it using my Large Sentiment Strip Dies. Lastly. the card needed a little more bling so I added some sequins using the new Aquamarine Confetti sequins coming out Friday. So much amazing confetti. I can’t wait for you all to see!!!
