July Release Sneak Peek | Butterflies Cut and Emboss Folder

Hey crafty friends, it’s Joy here and I’m super excited about the July release, there are so many beautiful products. I used the Butterflies Cut and Emboss Folder, Floral Wings and the Black and White 6×6 Paper Pad (which can be foiled).

I used the polka dot patterned paper from the new Black and White paper pad and I foiled it with Gold Shattered Glass Deco Foil using my Minc machine. Then I die cut it with the Diagonal Cover Die, which gives a pretty scalloped edge. I die cut that again from white cardstock and used the center stripe die that comes with it to cut out the center. This will leave you with a scalloped frame. I adhered that to the card panel.

I used the Butterflies Cut and Emboss folder with white cardstock, this is amazing. It embosses and die cuts the image at the same time. I ink blended the butterfly with Pink and teal ink using a blender brush. Then I took the teal ink pad and gently ran it over the butterfly, which added pretty inked detail to the raised edges.

I trimmed a piece of vellum slightly smaller than the foiled part of the card panel. I want to be able to see the bright foil around the edges. I adhered the butterfly and the sentiment (stamped from the new Floral Wings) with foam tape onto the vellum. Then I added foam tape behind the vellum under the butterfly and sentiment and adhered that to the foiled panel. I finished the card with gold sequins and a white A2 card base.
