It’s party time – sampling the new inks

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here from donnaisplayingpaper, and I’ve been trying out ALL the new Pink and Main inks! It’s getting really cold here in Tokyo, and my heating is not in my crafty space, so I’ve been running back and forth from my heated Kotatsu coffee table to my craft desk. It’s quite a comedy show, but I’m keeping warm! I’ve got a fun party card to share with you today.

I’ve created a rainbow riot of colour using Pink and Main’s new inks. These are in 2 inch square cubes, and you can buy either single cubes, or get the Ink Pad Bundle, which comes with a free ink handle. I arranged my inks in rainbow order, and blended them onto a panel of card. I overlapped the colours a little to get some lovely intermediate colours. Once the ink was dry, I spattered it with water. I was delighted by how much the inks reacted to the. water. This spatter is gorgeous! The deep blue would make an amazing galaxy background. I trimmed a quarter inch strip of the edge of my panel to put down the right hand side of the card, and put the rest on the left.

The feature images comes from the Party TIme Stamp. I stamped it with Pink and Main’s new Black ink, and coloured it with Copic markers. I then cut the image out with the matching Party Time Dies, and popped her up with foam tape. The sentiment comes from the same stamp set, and I heat embossed that in white on black paper.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at the vibrant colours of the new inks, and that you’ll get time to get crafty. Until next time,

Blessings,

Donna
