Ink Blended Holiday Vertical Greetings

Hello!! I always like to challenge myself to use something that I’ve never used before…and I’ve never used a vertical greeting! The Holiday Vertical Greetings stamp set from Pink & Main has a bunch of sentiments and I decided to use a variety of them!

I laid out my sentiments onto my card to get the spacing correct and then used masking tape to mask off various areas of my card. I knew I wanted to rotate between two colors and I decided to have the strips on the ends and in the middle be slightly longer than the two inside strips. I blended two colors of inks – a light and dark red and a light and dark green so that there would be a highlight in the middle of my blending.
Once all my ink was blended I dried it with my heat tool so that I could do some embossing. I used my MISTI and lined up all five of my sentiments from the Holiday Vertical Greetings stamp set at once with Versamark ink and embossed them with white embossing powder.
The result is so classic! You could recreate this card without the ink blending – instead stamp the vertical sentiments onto strips of patterned paper and add them across the card. I mean … who doesn’t have little bits of patterned paper taking up space?! It can’t be just me! Haha! Thanks for joining me! Be sure to head over and check out the rest of the Holiday release from Pink & Main!
