Cuckoo for Christmas

Happy Tuesday friends, Katie here for another Tuesday treat. I truly do love Christmas, even the stress it can bring feels worth it. I think that makes today’s card very appropriate- Cuckoo for (and by) Christmas!

One thing I love to do is stretch my stamps and using this Cuckoo Clock Stamp and Die of the Month is fun to use for Christmas. I started by stamping the images and coloring them with Copics. I used C5, C3, C1, E15, G09, G07, G03, R37, R35, R14, E00, E02. Then I used a white gel pen for highlights and then cut them out with the dies. Next, i used the Be Merry Paper Pad as the base and for the layers, with the exception of the middle layer. The middle uses the Year Round Dots & Stripes DP. I cut out the layers using the Stitched Arches dies. I added a bit of red sparkly ribbon in between and adhered all elements with my EZ Tear Tape or Foam Tape. I stamped the sentiment from the Gingerbread Kisses Stamp Set and used a banner to cut it out.

I love the way this turned out, in particular the little gnome peaking out from the top. But all of these characters are fun and sweet and I think this turned out very fun in reds and greens.

What do you think? Are you cuckoo for this Christmas clock or do you think it is a bad use of the set? Well I hope you like it and I think you for visiting me today.

Please be sure to visit IG, YT and FB for more inspiration, then you can hit up the shop to pick up your goodies. Thanks for visiting! ~Katie
