Hello friends – Bri here! I am back today to share another celebratory card design featuring the Party Time set from Pink and Main. Keep reading below for more details on how I made this festive project.
I decided to go with a New Years Eve theme for my card so I colored the girl with a black and gold sequin dress. I also used a white gel pen to add sparkle detail to her outfit. The Copic markers I used are listed at the end of this post.
First, I stamped the disco ball image with Staz-On Black ink onto silver foil cardstock and used the coordinating die to cut the outline. Next, I created the party lights background with the Sunshine Layers Stencil and Distress Oxide inks onto light purple cardstock. I splattered silver metallic paint onto the background to look like reflections from the disco ball. To finish the party background, I used pigment black ink to stamp the musical notes.
The card front is layered with the party panel (3.5″ x 4.75″), black cardstock (3.625″ x 4.875″), gold foil (3.75″ x 5″), and another black panel (4.25″ x 5.5″).
To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment with pigment black ink onto inked purple cardstock. The sentiment was then die cut with a Sentiment Strip Die. The strip was then attached to the card with 1/8″ thick foam tape. I also used foam tape to attach the girl to the card front as well. For final touches, I added glitter yellow enamel dots from the Just a Note Glitter Enamel Dots to coordinate with the other gold accents.
