Celebrating you

Are you loving the Pink and Main August release as much as I am?

It’s Donna here, and I am so excited to see such great sentiment stamps in the latest release. I’m always on the search for the perfect sentiment in the perfect font, and I love these new ones. You can see the whole new release here ( if you haven’t already purchased the whole lot – it’s tempting!)

The glitter paper is also lovely. I’ve made a card in two colour ways today to highlight these fabulous papers. I love that there is more than on shade of different colour families. For the blue card I used Sparkle Sheets in Silver, Lakeside and Barbershop. The pink/ purple colourways uses Silver, Night Sky and Salon.

To make these cards, I used the Butterfly Cover die. This die comes with individual butterflies and bodies, as well as the cover die which leaves the centres intact and allows the wings to fly up. I ran the cover die through with white card, and then cut out the butterflies from the glitter cardstock. I glued these to each background butterfly, gluing just the centre, then added white bodies on top. The silver added a nice touch to both colourways.

The sentiment is from the Special Day stamp set, and I stamped it first in a lighter colour, and then reinked just the lower portion of the stamp to give an ombré look. I’ve used the banner dies to cut the tag. I then blended ink onto the banner so that it completely colour coordinates with the rest of the card, and stamped one of the coordinating sentiments from the same stamp set to finish the sentiment.

This is such a great release and the perfect partner for all the stamps in our stashes, so I know we’ll all get a lot of use out of it, which is so important when we invest our money in crafting supplies.

Until next time,

May your days be full of sparkle and butterflies.

Blessings,

Donna
