Hello friends – Bri here! I am back today to share a sweet sneak peek for the October 2022 Pink and Main release of the new Sweetie Pie stamp and coordinating die set. This set along with the rest of this month’s release will be available on Friday, October 21st . The Sweetie Pie set features two pie images, aroma waves, and two sentiments. Keep reading below for more details on how I made these two tasty projects!

First Project

This first card features a berry pie colored with Copic markers using the no-line technique. The colors I used are listed at the end of this post. I used the image again to stamp a coordinating background paper with dark brown ink onto kraft cardstock. I used the same dark brown ink to create a messy splatter effect to fill more of the negative space.

Next, I used one of the frame dies from the Plaid Cover Dies Bundle to create a secondary layer. I used Shaded Lilac, Villianous Potion, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks to create an ombre on the light purple plaid die cut. I wanted this frame to match the filling of the berry pie so the background could look like a reversed pie crust lattice design.

To finish the card, I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder onto kraft cardstock and die cut the sentiment with the Large Sentiment Strip Dies. I used the same die set to create a secondary layer of the strip with dark brown cardstock. I used coordinating enamel dots to embellish the card. I think the enamel dots kind of look like drops of pie filling. What do you think?

Second Project

My second card features the pecan pie image also colored with Copic markers. I used my usual alcohol marker safe ink as I wanted the pecans to stick out. I used the same die from the Plaid Cover Dies Bundle to create a picnic table card background with buffalo check red and white pattern paper from my stash.

Next, I used a circle die from the Zig Zag Circle Dies set to create separation between the pie image and the checkered background. I used brown ink to distress the edges of the circle and used a white gel pen to draw on the little white circle outlines. I love how this shape kind of looks like a pie from a top-down viewpoint.

To finish the card, I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder onto a strip of kraft cardstock. I used brown ink on the sentiment strip to create a ink fade from the left hand side. I used foam tape to attach the sentiment to the card front. I used red, orange and yellow enamel dots from the Pumpkin Season Glitter Enamel Dots to embellish the card with fun Fall colors.

Thank you for stopping by the blog. I hope these sweet projects fill you with inspiration!
