Bloom with Joy

Hi everyone! Samantha here on the Pink and Main Blog sharing an adorable new card featuring images using the new Bloom with Joy stamp set.

This stamp set features two adorable girls along with lovely floral images that I thought would pair nicely with the new Leafy Background Foilables Panels.

To start, I selected a piece of Tinsel Green Cheerfoil cut to the size of my foilable panel, placed them both in my carrier sheet with the foil on top shiny side up, and ran them through my Mini Minc Foiling Machine. Next I stamped all of my images from the Bloom with Joy stamp set in black ink onto Xpress It paper, before coloring them with Copic markers in fun bright colors.

One of the techniques I love to use on my cards, especially with clothing, is to do a little paper piecing. To do this, I stamped my girl image a second time onto green polka dot pattern paper selected from the Bookwork 6×6 Paper Pad. I added shading to the dress portion of the image using neutral gray markers, before fussy cutting out the dress and gluing down onto my girl. Once all my images were complete, I used the Bloom with Joy Dies to cut out my images before finishing up my card.

One of my favorite additions in the February 2024 release has to be the Fun Scallop Border Dies. I decided to create a center strip in white with a pretty scalloped edge on either side to feature my sentiment. I then stamped a sentiment in dark green ink using the Well Wishes stamp set before assembling my final card.

To finishing everything up, I added a mat in green cardstock, cut 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8,” and adhered it to an A2 card-base. Next, I attached my foiled panel to the green mat before centering my white scalloped center strip. Using thick and thin foam tape for dimension, I adhered my images before finishing everything off with a few green embellishments from the new Happy Hello Sticky Gems.

I think this card is so charming. I just love the little girl. I hope you do too.

Thanks, for reading!
