Hi friends, this is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I am here to share a super cheerful spring card! I am so ready for sunshine and warm breezes so I had to grab one of my most favorite stamp sets ever and pair it with some fun new additions this weekend. I started out by stamping out the single daisy and flying ladybug from the Ladybug Garden stamp set with Asphalt Ink and letting them dry for a few minutes. I used Copic Sketch Markers to color in the images (which was really quick because they are pretty small and simple) and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
I prepped my card by grabbing an A2 side folding card base and attaching a panel of flower paper from the Pop Flowers Paper Pad that I had trimmed down to 5.5 in x 4.25 in. Then I took a piece of Ice Rink Card Stock and used the smallest stitched Fun Scallop Border Dies on each side to make a center panel. I stamped a large sentiment from the Here For You Stamp Set onto the scalloped panel with Construction Ink. Then I attached the scalloped panel to the card with foam tape and added my die cut images with the EZ Squeeze Liquid Glue.
I really wanted to ground the large daisy on the card so I used a few green Copics to roughly sketch in some grass and blend in out under the sentiment. I think this helps pull everything together and create a mini scene on the card. The last step was to add some shine with the new Pop Flowers Sticky Pearls and I love how the colors coordinate with the paper pad perfectly.
Such a cute and cheerful card!
