Hi friends, this is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I am so excited to be sharing a sneak peek for the May release with you! I fell in love with the images in the new Bear with Wagon stamp set and it took me so long to decide what to put in the wagon since everything was so cute. I ended up deciding on the flower pots and I love how this whole card came together.
I really wanted to incorporate the Happy Paper Pad so I picked out a pattern paper first to set the color scheme. I trimmed down this striped pattern to be a standard US A2 sized panel ( 5.5 in x 4.25 in) and then got to work on the next panel. I took a plain white piece of card stock and taped it from the back to the Mandala Stencil. The next step was to prep my own glitter paste by mixing the Ice Rink Super Fine Glitter with the Ocean Wave Super Fine Glitter and the Glossy Gel on a plastic pallet with a pallet knife. Once it was all mixed well, I applied a thin, even layer over the whole panel and then immediately rinsed off the pallet, stencil and knife so the glitter wouldn’t dry on it. I moved the panel out of the way and let it dry for about an hour.
While the glitter paste was drying, I stamped out the bear, the wagon and the flowers from the Bear and Wagon Stamp Set with alcohol friendly ink. I used copic markers to color in all of the images to match the pattern paper as closely as I could. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and then stamped and die cut a sentiment from the My Heart Smile set which I think just pulled everything together perfectly. I used the EZ Squeeze glue to adhere everything together and this card just makes me so happy, Make sure you keep an eye out the for more sneak peeks and I hope you are feeling super inspired!
