Wishing you Cookies!

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and I have a sweet card for you today! For those of you following my summer in Tokyo blues, I got to use a quilt last night for the first time since June, so I’m a happy cardmaker this morning! Today’s card uses some of the new release Pink and Main products as well as a few of my favorites from previous releases.

I stamped three of the cookies from the Christmas Cookies stamp set with pale ink and coloured them with my Polychromos pencils. I kept things soft and light. I haven’t used these pencils for such a long time, and if I made the cardigan I would use a paper with more tooth, as I had a hard time getting the colour to blend as I wanted with out pressing too hard.

One I had the images coloured, I cut them with the matching dies. In some ways, these simple shapes are easy to cut with scissors, but these are the very images that show up if my curves aren’t completely even so I was very grateful for the dies, as the smooth lines look great.

I then mounted the cookies onto a heart which I’d cut with the double stitched heart dies. I adore stitched edges, so I also used the Stitched Rectangles 1 set to cut my white panel and give it a matching stitched edge.

The sentiment comes from the same Christmas Cookies stamp set. There are so many cute sentiments to match the Christmas Cookies theme that I could have chosen. In the end, I went with this one because it fit the space so well.

The background paper is from the Falling for You paper pad, which has traditional autumn tones as well as pops of turquoise and purple. It would make fun cards for many different seasons. It is going to be included in the October Crafty Courtyard kit. (And, as a bonus, I do believe that the very first of the Pink and Main Embossing Folders are going to be in this kit!)

I hope you’ve enjoyed this sweet little card, and that you’re inspired to get crafting. Until next time,

Stay safe. Blessings,

Donna
