Wildflowers in bloom

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here and I have a card made using a lovely new Pink and Main stamp for you today.

This stamp is in a different style to many of the other Pink and Main stamps with its flowing design and bold lines, and I’m in love! I have used paper piecing to create this first card.

The first step is the background. I used the Petite Petals stencil, and blended over this from the centre out on white cardstock. I then removed the stencil, and using the ink that was left on the Ergonomic blending brush, I went over the area again to give a pale blue background.

I stamped and heat embossed the image three times in all, using black ink and clear embossing powder. Firstly, I stamped into position on the ink blended background, then again onto two of the papers in the Pastel Dreams paper pad. I also used a little purple ink blended onto the edge of the petals to give some extra definition. I glued everything down, popping up the flowers with foam tape before adding centres to the flowers from the Enchanted Garden enamel shapes

The sentiment comes from the same stamp set, and I’ve heat embossed half in white onto a black strip, and stamped the larger word directly onto the card.

This card has such a lovely spring feel, and it’s so nice to be feeling the sun on my back again after winter here in Tokyo.

Until next time, may your days and your thoughts be sunny.

Blessings,

Donna
