Wildflowers Hello Card

Oh, hello! That’s exactly the message on my card today! Just a simple hello. I feel like we could all use a message like that these days!

The soon to be released Wildflowers Stamp Set from Pink & Main is one of my favorite floral stamp sets! I can’t stop using it! The stamp set has some sentiments and one large wildflower cluster. I’ve used it before as a focal point, but today I wanted to use it as a background for my card.

Although I wanted to use the Wildflowers Stamp Set to fill the background of my card, I wanted it to be a subtle background with a few pops of color. I stamped the floral cluster from the Wildflowers Stamp Set with a light gray ink all over my background being sure to turn the stamp so it doesn’t look like the same image stamped repeatedly. I used alcohol markers to quickly add a bit of shadow to the petals of the flowers and light yellow to the centers of each flower.

I die cut the letters to create the word “hello” from the Thin Alpha Die Set four times from black cardstock and stacked them together for dimension. I lined up the sentiment and added Glossy Accents to the sentiment so that it would stand out.

The card looked a bit funny to me, so I trimmed off a tiny bit from the top and the side and matted the stamped background onto black cardstock. This helped tie in the black sentiment. And that finishes the card!
