Watercolored Gnomes!

Hello, hello!! Laurie here to share a fun and fairly easy card with you featuring the Lucky Gnomes Stamp Set. This is one of the cutest gnome sets out there!

I wanted to do some watercolour on the group of gnomes in this set. However, my watercolour skills are not great (and that’s ok!) To simplify things, I heat embossed the image in white on Bristol Smooth paper. This keeps the pigment contained.

For the colouring, I used some Nuvo Aqua Flow Pens. I’ve had these in my stash for quite awhile now and have only used them once!! I went with a very simple colour scheme. Keeping everything in greys and blues.

After finishing the heat embossed image, I added some green grass to ground them and some lighter blue above for the sky.

After the panel was dry, I heat embossed “thanks for being a friend” in white. The sentiment comes from the Grateful Greeting Stamp Set.

A few white gel pen details complete this card! I didn’t even cut the panel down which is quite unusual for me but because I got the image pretty centred, I thought I would leave it as is. I attached the panel to a white card base with a strong tape runner adhesive.

And that’s it for me today! Hope you enjoyed my card and I’ll be back real soon!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Laurie
