Valentine’s Flowers

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and I have another card to share with you! I love all the stencils in this month’s release! This card uses the Daisies Stencil and a mix of inks and coloured pencils.

To make this card, I taped the stencil to a piece of white card, putting the tape at the back. I then blended inks in pink, green and yellow onto the panel, being a little bit fussy about putting the pink in the flowers, the green into some of the leaves, and the yellow as the background, but not overly fussy, as the flow of colours is what makes this card work.

I then removed the stencil, and used coloured pencils in deep blue and magenta to highlight the centres of the petals and the insides of the leaves. I coloured darkest in the corner, and slowly blended out so that only the ink was showing towards the outside of each shape.

Finally, I added the sentiment from the Spring Sentiments stamp set, embossed in white. I chose a dark cardstock for this, and for the base.

With Valentine’s Day coming up, I’d like to spread some love around, so I’m looking forward to sending my Valentine’s cards.

Until next time,

Blessings,

Donna
