Hi friends, this is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and today I am sharing this really fun all-occasion card featuring the new Home Tweet Home Stamp set! I love this set and I have used two of the bird houses already but I really wanted to play with the birds and branches on their own. I also just got the Cool Basics Paper Pack and I couldn’t wait to create with it so that is where my color inspiration came from today.
I started my card process by stamping out the two standing birds and the branch a couple of times with the Asphalt Premium Dye Ink onto an alcohol ink paper. I set that aside to dry for about 5 minutes and then I colored them in with Copic markers, trying to match my markers the best I could to the pattern papers. I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out and then I decided I needed a large sentiment. I grabbed the new Simple Greetings Dies and decided that the Thinking of You sentiment would fit well with the birds. I cut the shadow layer from Ice Rink Card Stock and the main words with Pebble Card Stock. I used the EZ Squeeze Glue to adhere the words to the shadow layer and then it was time to make a card base.
I flipped through the paper pack and picked out a multi colored stripe pattern and the navy blue gingham. I trimmed the striped paper to be 5.5 in x 4.25 in and I added it to a side folding A2 card base. Then I trimmed the gingham to 4.75 in x 3.5 in for a really bold border and added it on top. I used the liquid glue to adhere the branches to the top and bottom of the gingham panel and then I added the birds and sentiment with Foam Tape. The final touch was adding in a little sparkle so I added two trios of the lime green dots from the Just a Note Glitter Enamel Dots set. This card is perfect for any recipient and almost any occasion… definitely a good one to have ready!!
