Thinking of You Often

Hello, crafters and happy Saturday!! Brenda here with a “thinking of you” card featuring several goodies from the March Release!!

I began by stamping the wreath and flowers from the Sakura Blooms Stamp Set onto Ice Rink cardstock with Asphalt ink. I used Copic markers to color them, added dots to the centers with a yellow gel pen, then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies.

For the background, I white heat embossed the branch from the Sakura Blooms Stamp Set repeatedly onto a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. I watercolored it with diluted Dress Shop ink and dropped darker pigment onto the flowers. Once it was dry, I splattered it with diluted white gouache. Once the panel was fully dry, it was die-cut with the second largest die in the Layered Rectangles A2 Die Set and adhered to a panel of Dress Shop cardstock that was die-cut with the largest die in the same die set. The Stitched Rectangles Frames Die Set was cut from Ice Rink cardstock and the second largest die was adhered to the background. (I store the other frames in the storage pocket with my die set for future projects!) The third largest Scallop Rectangle Die was cut from vellum and the wreath and flowers were arranged and adhered to the vellum with liquid glue.

The sentiments, from the Sakura Blooms Stamp Set and the So Sorry Stamp Set, were white heat embossed onto Asphalt cardstock. The Coordinating Die was used to cut out the larger die and the supporting sentiment was trimmed into a narrow banner. They were both adhered to the vellum with foam tape. I applied liquid glue to the back of the vellum behind the die-cuts, then adhered it to the background. Special Day Sticky Gems finish off the card nicely and add a bit of sparkle and shine.

I think I’m going through a pink phase right now!! Who am I kidding, I’m always in a pink phase!! LOL!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful Saturday and a very Happy Easter!!

Brenda
