Thinking of You Card

Hello crafty friends.

It’s Lisa Mears (@LisaMearsDesigns) here today sharing a “Thinking of You” card that I made with the Stay Hoppy stamp set. I love how sweet this stamp set is.

For the background of my card, I used some Distress Oxide inks to create an ink-blended background that represents a bit of a gloomy day, but still a little cheerful at the same time. I decided to with purple for the sky because purple makes me happy. I used Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac. For the grass, I used Mowed Lawn.

I colored the stamps from the Stay Hoppy stamp with Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens in the following colors: Emerald Green, FL Green, Lilac, Peach Pink, Sugared Almond Pink, Mustard, Yellow, Flesh Color, and the Blender.

I hand-drew a puddle of water underneath the girl and the frog using an ultra fine tip black Sharpie. I colored the puddles with the Light Blue Zig pen and then I cut the puddle of the water with my scissors.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stay Hoppy stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating dies.

I added the card layer to a piece of the pink plaid pattern paper from the Year Rounds Plaids 2 paper pad.

Finally, I added drops of the Morning Dew Crystal Nuvo Drops and then took a pin and dragged the Nuvo Drops downward to make it look like rain in the sky.
