Bee My Valentine?

Hi friends, this is Caitlin and today I am sharing a sweet honey and bee themed tag and card set for Valentine’s Day. I made the card live with Pink and Main and you can see the replay here.

For the tag, I started by die cutting a scrap of yellow card stock with the solid Shaker Tag Die and some Pebble Card Stock with the Shaker Frame Tag Die. I used the Hex Tile 6×6 Embossing Folder to create texture on the yellow solid tag and then ink blended over it with Construction Ink. Before I inked the card, I refreshed my ink pad with the Construction Ink Refill and I wish I had done that earlier because the contrast I like the contrast I got on the card way better. If you like a softer look though, you can use a lighter hand with the construction ink and get a similar look to the tag background.

I used the EZ Squeeze Glue to add the frame to the tag and set it aside to dry. I stamped out the honey bee bear from the Hap-bee Stamp Set onto some Copic Xpress-it paper and colored him in with my Copic Sketch Markers. I used the coordinating die to cut him out and popped him up on the tag with foam tape. One he was in place, I free stamped the tiny bee stamp from that same set with Asphalt Ink in a few of the hexagons and on the bottom corner of the frame. I also stamped the “hey honey” sentiment onto the top corner of the tag.

I used the small hexagon plate in the Shaker Tag die set to cut out some embellishments from the same yellow card stock and once they were glued to the frame, I added Touch of Gloss to them so they would add some shine. I am really loving tag and card sets right now and I think having the products already out for one, makes the other go much faster. Let me know what you think!
