Thankful for your Kindness

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, sweltering in Tokyo. I’m loving the new Pink and Main release with all its Autumn vibes – the cooler weather can’t come soon enough for me!!!

For today’s card, I have used the absolutely adorable Happy Fall Stamp set, with its bear and owl images, and so many lovely leaves. I’ve made a horizontal slimline card today. The extra width gave me plenty of room to fit on a bunch of elements without the card seeming too crowded.

First, I stamped the images in Copic friendly ink and then coloured them using a range of warm colours, mixing and matching them so that I could get a wide range of colour in the leaves. I cut them out using the matching Happy Fall dies, which was a real time saver with all those little leaves.

The background is a piece of watercolour paper which I coloured using some light blue distress ink and lots of water. I also spattered some of the ink to give the background more interest.

I then cut the watercolour panel using the Stitched Slimline dies. I also cut a piece of olive green paper from my stash with a bigger die from the same set. I stamped the sentiment at this point having first laid down the main images to check my placement.

To assemble the card, I laid everything down and then pushed a piece of Press and Seal over the top to hold the arrangement in place. I then carefully peeled back part of the Press and Seal and glued the images down, starting from the back. As I reached the front images, I used some dimensional tape to give the card some dimension.

This card came together quite quickly once I had done the colouring, I love this Happy Fall stamp set! It made me happy to think that Autumn is on its way, even in only in the cardmaking world for the moment! I hope you’ve been inspired! Until next time, may your days be sunny (but not too sunny!)

Blessings,

Donna
