Good evening friends! Katie here this evening with a fun card featuring the new release and another Mom’s day shout out.
This card was fun to make and measures 4.25X4.25.. I immediately thought to pair the Quilt Square 1 Die with the fun new stamps from Mom Life.
I started, as always, by stamping my image from the Mom Life Stamp Set using my Misti and then coloring with Copics. The Copics used for this one are YG25, YG11, BV02, BV000, R24, R22, E02, E51, E37, E23, E11, B02, B01, Y15 and Y13. Next, I cut the image out with the coordinating Mom Life Die Set and put it aside. I pulled out the Quilt Square 1 die and cut it out 3 times using various sheets of both the Happy and Hooray Paper Pads. I placed the framed down on my white base and then had fun piecing all the bits together for the pattern I wanted, adhering them with the EZ Squeeze Craft Glue. Next, I die cut a smaller Zig Zag Circle using some white cardstock. I placed this on the quilt and then popped up my image using foam tape. I added some On the Town Embellishments for a bit of sparkle. Lastly, on the inside I stamped the sentiment, which says, ” You’re doing great, Super Mom!”
Funny story, this card made my husband cringe, because he doesn’t like crying babies. He isn’t mean, he just doesn’t like them and seems to forget that his own daughter did this quite a bit at one time. Now she is just an indifferent teenager. LOL.
