I’m here today with this summery shaker card featuring images from this month’s “Stamp/Die of the Month” Set, Sunny Smiles! I combined this beach bear with some pattern paper from the latest release (“Vitamin Sea”) and filled a shaker with lots of tiny sunglasses!
I stamped, colored and die cut the bear plus multiples of the mini sunglasses, matching my palette to the colors in the cabana stripe pattern paper. A strip of this paper was added to the left side of a top-folding A2 card base. I added a thin strip of bright blue card stock as an accent and heat embossed/die cut a sentiment strip from the same paper.
The shaker element was created by stacking several of the “Reverse Scallop Circle Dies” together and backing this with an acetate circle. A thin strip of double-thickness foam tape was added around the perimeter, the shaker bits were piled onto a circle of aqua cardstock and the window was pressed into place. A fishtail banner was cut from the same aqua paper and attached to the card front; the shaker component was glued on top. The bear, sentiment strip and confetti were all adhered with either glue or foam tape to finish up the card!
