St. Patrick’s Day Shaker Card

Hi y’all…Annie back with a fun shaker card idea using the Lucky Friend and Lucky Charm sets released last month.  My background was quickly created using the Copic airbrush system and some stencils and I cut the pot of gold shaker window and clouds with my Silhouette.

I stamped the little clover girl from Lucky Friend in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her in with Copic markers.  Then I took one of my die-cut clouds and stamped the sentiment from Lucky Charm in Versafine Onyx Black Ink.  I wouldn’t normally mix black inks on my cards, but my cloud was cut out of textured cardstock and Versafine provided a much clearer impression in this case.

After filling my shaker with gold sequins and metallic shamrock confetti, I assembled the rest of the card with lots of foam adhesive.  I also added a tiny piece of gold metallic cardstock behind part of the pot to look like gold coins when the sequins weren’t filling that part of the shaker.

I hope this inspires you to break out your stamps for St. Patrick’s Day even if you’re not Irish.  (No Irish blood here…I just can’t resist a reason to celebrate!)
