Snow Sweet of You

Hello, friends and happy weekend!! Brenda from mypapercutcreations.com here with my first project since joining the design team!! I’ve always been a huge fan of Pink and Main and can’t wait to share some of my creations with you using their amazing products!! Let’s get to my card for today, shall we?

I just ADORE all of the darling little critters in the Polar Friends Stamp Set!! I stamped the bear and penguin from the set onto Ice Rink cardstock with Asphalt Ink and colored them with Copic markers. I added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Die to cut them out. Next, I added glitter gel onto a panel of Sunny Sky cardstock through the Blizzard Stencil and set it aside to dry.

Once the gel was dry, I die-cut it, along with a panel of Ice Rink cardstock, using the third largest die in the Stitched Arches Die Set and splattered it with diluted white ink. I hand cut the white panel to create my snow bank and added a shadow to it using Copic markers. I used the second largest die in the same Stitched Arches Die Set to cut another panel of Ice Rink cardstock and the second largest die in the Layered Rectangles A2 Die Set to cut a panel from a piece of plaid paper in the Year-Round Plaids Paper Pack. I LOVE a good plaid and this paper pack is full of them, so be prepared to see them on A LOT of my cards…lol!! All of the layers were adhered to an A2 white, top-folding card base.

The sentiment and snowflakes are from the stamp set in the Snowflakes Special Bundle Set (which is a GREAT price right now!). The sentiment was stamped onto Ice Rink cardstock with Asphalt Ink and the snowflakes were stamped with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. The coordinating dies in the bundle were used to cut them out. The snowflakes were adhered with liquid glue and the sentiment and critter die-cuts were popped up with foam adhesive. I added a tiny drop of Touch of Gloss to the center of each snowflake and sprinkled on some Stardust Chunky Glitter to finish off the card and add a bit more sparkle.

I can’t wait to use the other sweet critters in this Polar Friends set!!
