Sneak Peek Using The Pretty Butterflies Embossing Folder

Hey crafters, hope your day is going well. I LOVE embossing folders, you can do so many things with them. I used the Pretty Butterflies Folder for my project today. Let’s get started.

I used the embossing folder in a fun way by embossing the top and bottom of the card panel, leaving an open strip in the center. I placed the upper part of my card panel in the embossing folder ( the bottom half of the card panel is sticking out from the folder) I ran that through my die cut machine. Then I flipped the card panel around and did the same thing on the bottom half. I wanted my sentiment to overlap the embossed areas just a little bit, so I measured how big I wanted the blank area to be.

I used low tack memo tape and taped off the center piece and then ink blended from top to bottom with Peony, Blush and Sunbeam inks from SSS. I lightly ran the Ocean ink pad across the dry embossed images. I spritzed the background with water and gently patted the excess water off. I added some white gel pen dots to the background.

I stamped the cute sentiment and heart from the Sending Happy Mail stamp set with Peony ink and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added foam tape behind them for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed this project.

Hugs,

Joy Baldwin
