Sneak Peek: Prickly Hugs

Hello everyone! Justin here, and today I am showing off a sneak peek to one of the new sets for our January Release: Prickly Hugs! This set is just the CUTEST! It has 4 different cactus characters, along with a really fun word image where the word “hugs” is turned into a cactus as well! I decided to pair this set with the also new Heart Spotlight Cover Die, and really easily make a trio of projects!

After coloring up my 3 cactus images and my 3 copies of the Cactus Hugs word with my Copic Markers, I used the coordinating dies for this set (which are SO helpful, given all of the little cactus needles sticking out of these cuties) and set them aside.

Using the Heart Spotlight Cover Die, I ran it through my die cutting machine 3 times with dark green paper, light green paper, and the Pale Green Paper from the Spring Glitter Paper Pack. I adhered each of the frame pieces to an A2-sized card front, and then pieced the insides in, alternating colors so no 2 were ever touching! This was actually super easy to do!

Next, I heat embossed the sentiment “Sending” onto Large Sentiment Strip Dies (1/2″) and adhered a little cluster of elements together. This included (1) sentiment banner, (1) cactus character image, and (1) cactus hugs word. I then adhered these to my card using foam tape. I finished the cards off by using some of the new Freezin Season Glitter Enamel Dots! And my cards were all complete!

Be sure to keep an eye out on the Pink & Main blog for even more sneak peaks for the new January Release, which drops this Thursday, January 20th, 2022! These sets are seriously just the cutest, and there are going to be so many fun ways to use them!

Here is a list of the Pink & Main products used for my project:
