Hi Friends! This is Caitlin from Caitlin Annalee Cards and I am back today with another sneak peek of one of the new sets coming out on Friday, April 22. I fell in love with the new Mom Life stamp set the minute I saw it. There is so something so honest and real about the images and sentiments in this set and on top of being a tired mom myself, I am also a coffee lover so this one image had to be used first. The nice thing about this card is that it can be for any busy lady you might want to encourage, not just moms.
I started out by stamping my tired mama image with an alcohol market safe ink in the center of a white card stock panel trimmed down to 4.5 in x 3.25 in. I also stamped the image on a full stick Post It note and cut it out with a little bit of a boarder. I repeated both processes with the sentiment underneath and then placed the Post It -Masks over each image. I then used a brown ink to stamp the coffee cup image from the set all over in different directions, making sure many were cut off on the edges, so that it looked more like a pattern paper. I took that brown ink pad and used it to smudge up the edges of the panel to help create a little bit of a frame around the image.
I colored in my main image with Copic Markers adding in little dots on the robe to try to give a softer, fuzzy feel to it. I used the Polka Hearts Cover Die to cut a main panel for my card front from a piece of Kraft card stock and layered it over a piece of hot pink card stock that matched the fuzzy robe color. I adhered the colored panel in the middle and decided to add some sparkle – every tired lady could use some sparkle in her life. I used three small cream gems from the new Warm Jellies Gems collection to bring a little extra attention to the sentiment at the bottom of the panel.
