Sing your heart out!

Hello crafty friends. It’s Donna here, and I have a card for you today that represents how our family sings carols! We love them! We can be found at our neighbourhood carols, looking like this every year!

These two cuties are called Polly and Pete, and they’ve been featuring in lots of Christmas adventures here at Pink and Main. The wonderful thing about these stamps is that each adventure is a separate stamp, so they have a great price point, and they all come with matching dies. Polly and Pete can be found hanging wreaths, exchanging gifts, and dressing up in Santa hats. The stamp that I used for today’s card is the Polly and Pete Carols stamp. I stamped them both in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with my copic markers. I them cut them with the matching Polly and Pete Carols Die.

To make the background I masked off a piece of white paper and filled in the sky with blues and purples. I then added some snow using the Random Dots Stencil and Matte medium, spread thinly with a spatula before quickly removing it and pressing on some Sparkling Cottontail Glitter Flock powder. I shook the excess back into the jar, and let it dry completely. I then cut two arch shapes, one from the inkblended panel, and another white one, using the Stitched Arches Dies, and scored about 1/2 inch down from the top on the back arch. I put some double sided tape and glue in the top section, and glued both halves together to make a shaped card.

I’ve used both sentiments from the stamp set. I stamped Fa la la la on the front and the longer sentiment inside the card. I love the joy on their faces, and I’m looking forward to singing my own heart out really soon!

Until next time,

Blessings

Donna
