Simple Stamping – You’ve Got This!

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here and I have a very simple card to share with you today. I have used the fabulous sentiments in the Going Places stamp set. With some repeat stamping and coordinating paper, this card came together very quickly indeed.

I stamped the main sentiment in black, and then used a ruler and black marker to rule the lines above and below. I used Distress Oxide in Twisted Citron for the repeat stamping. In my humble opinion, it is MUCH easier to match inks and markers to your paper than vice versa, and I knew I wanted to use this fun print from the Summer Splash paper pad. This would have to be one of my favourite Pink and Main Paper pads of all time.

I added a backing of black paper behind my main panel. I made this as thin as possible for two reasons. I wanted to mimic the line width of the pen lines around the sentiment, and I wanted the card to still have a very light fun vibe.

Repeat stamping is a really fun way to make your own patterned paper, and with all these sentiments, it’s not hard to find exactly the right one. I’m already dreaming up what repeat stamping project I’ll try next… clear embossing and then ink blending… ombré…rainbow colours… who knows!

Until next time,

Blessings,

Donna
