Simple “Just Saying Hello” Card

Good morning and happy Saturday! It is Saturday, right? I’ve been staying at home for 3 weeks now and my days are starting to blur together. But I’m sure I’m not the only one!

I’m sharing a simple that features some stencilling, made easy with the Mask It Rectangle Stencil and some heat embossing. This came together rather quickly and I think you could crank through a few of these at once!

I started by cutting down a panel of white cardstock using the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Set 2 dies. I adhered the centre portion of the Mask It Rectangle Stencil to the centre of the panel using a bit of dot runner adhesive. I place the Puffy Heart Stencil directly over top and blended some light pink ink.

I removed the heart stencil then lined up the negative portion of the stencil with the centre rectangle. I used a light blue ink to add colour there.

I love these Mask It Stencils! There are so many fun techniques you can play around with! I took the large floral image from the Wildflowers Stamp Set (available soon), laid it over top of all that stencilling and heat embossed it in a lovely champagne colour. I stamped and heat embossed twice to get a nice, thick layer!

The sentiment was heat embossed in the same powder and comes from the Just Because Stamp Set. Finally, I added the panel to a kraft card base.

This is a very flat card but the masking gives the illusion of layers, which I love!

Thanks so much for dropping in this morning! I wish you a great day! Stay home and stay healthy!

Laurie
