Sentiment Strips Background

Hi! I always need more masculine birthday cards in my stash and today’s design is quick, simple, and easy to mass produce! Right up my alley!

I used the Sentiment Strip dies from Pink & Main as the background for my card. I took a variety of sizes from small to medium and die cut four colors of cardstock multiple times. I could have used more of the larger sizes, but I wanted to be able to clearly see that there were little banner edges, so I decided to use primarily the smaller sizes.

I arranged and glued all of my strips onto the bottom portion of an A2 card. I started at the bottom and worked my way up until I liked the width of the Sentiment Strips background. I stamped the large “oh happy day” sentiment from the Special Day stamp set and trimmed around it to give it a die cut appearance. I also stamped a smaller coordinating sentiment from the same stamp set, but I didn’t cut it with the Sentiment Strips dies. I wanted the strip to be skinnier than the background strips so the background strips would form a sort of frame for the sentiment.

And that’s all! Thanks for joining me!
