Seas the Day! (The case of the accidental embossing powder)

Hello Pink and Main friends! It’s Donna here, and I’m back in Australia! After 5 years of bringing you posts from Japan, we’ve moved back to Australia to live. Although I love winter, it’s been a shock to come across it so suddenly! So, here’s an ocean card to keep the warm vibes going!

These shells are from a stamp set called Shell-ebrate. I stamped these in Watermark clear ink, and sprinkled on embossing powders. I used Shiny Penny Embossing Powder and Seafoam Embossing Powder. Originally I had the idea to combine the green and copper embossing powders half and half on each shell, but somewhere early in the sprinkle and shake back into the jar process, I forgot to clean up, and the two embossing powders ended up together on my scrap paper. So, I scooped up what I could of the individual colours, and added the combined powders to the rest of the shells. I really liked the results!

I cut these shells out with the matching Shell-ebrate dies and mounted them onto a tag, along with the sentiment ‘Seas the Day’ which comes from the same Shell-ebrate stamp set .

Now to the background! This is a foilable from Pink and Main called Mermaid Tail Foilable panel. I chose a shiny teal foil with a pattern of hearts on it. It’s called Lots of Love Teal foil. I love this combination of foil with the mermaid scales. That completes today’s card. I hope that you’re enjoying the weather, wherever you are. I’ll be back soon with some more card goodies to share with you

Until next time,

Blessings,

Donna
