Scooter Girl

Hello!
This is Rachelle from Red Cre8s and I’m so excited and honored to announce that I’ve been invited to join the Pink & Main Design Team! I’m sharing my first project today, which showcases a bright blend of products in a balloon-filled scene! This “Scooter Girl” reminds me of my red-headed niece who used to fly by me when she was little!

I began by ink blending a stenciled panel with “Shaded Lilac” and “Blueprint Sketch” Distress Oxide Inks using the Clouds Stencil. The panel was spritzed with a heavy layer of shimmer spray and set aside to dry. The scooter girl from the “Travel Buddy” Set was stamped, watercolored and die cut. I wanted this little gal to be speeding along with birthday balloons so I added the bunch from the “Diggity Dog” Stamp Set. After the balloons were stamped and colored, I carefully trimmed the strings apart so that I could attach them to her outstretched hand. I was so happy with the way these stamped pieces fit together perfectly!!! Yippee!

I used the “Hello Friend” sentiment strip from the “Blessings Slim Line” Die Set and die cut it first from white card stock. This negative cut was taped onto a piece of black card stock and I used the omits as a template to carefully glue those tiny white letters into place. I just removed the template and the letters were all aligned – easy peasy!

The stenciled cloud panel was trimmed to 3.75″ x 5″ with one of the A2 “Layered Rectangle Dies” and adhered to a top-folding card base. I cut the sentiment strip with a fishtail banner die and glued it into place. The scooter girl image was attached with a combination of glue/foam tape and a few lavender sequins finished up the card!

Thanks so much for joining me today for my first DT Post! Sneak peeks for an AMAZING January release are on the way and I can’t wait to share them with you!  Be sure to follow Pink & Main on Instagram and Facebook for more inspiration!

Take care! Rachelle
