Rich deep colours for Christmas

Hello Pink and Main fiends. It’s Donna here, from donnaisplayingpaper, but you probably already knew that from the spelling in the title! I’m the only person on the team that spells like that!! Trust me, it’s correct where I live in Australia! I have a card to share with you today that proved to be very difficult to photograph. Just before I get onto the card, I wanted to be sure that you know about the great sale that Pink and Main is having this weekend, with great freebies with every order. Check it out here.

I used the Large Snowflakes Stencil to make this card. Starting with a piece of burgundy cardstock, I attached the stencil with some tape at the back. I used a palette knife to spread some Glossy Gel, moving the stencil after each snowflake. But before I spread the gel for each snowflake, I mixed the gel with some Water Gems powder in a different colour for each snowflake. The Glossy gel dries to be translucent, and, well, glossy! The allows the colour of the powders to shine through.

The sentiment comes from the Christmas Sentiments Foilables. This was a sentiment that I’d foiled before in silver, and I had the outside negative portion remaining, so I foiled this onto some pink toner paper, so the sentiment would be pink on a silver background.

The final touch was some Glitter Enamel Dots, just to highlight the sentiment. This card is was very hard to photograph, as even with editing, the cardstock has come out very dark, but I hope you can get a sense of the lovely gloss of the snowflakes.

Until next time, may your days be full of beauty.

Blessings

Donna
