Rainbow Gnomes

Hello sweet Pink and Main Friends! It’s Donna here, and if you’re anything like me, you’re really excited for this month’s release. It’s finally the day! There are so many wonderful images to colour, and I’ve started out with this little cutie that is actually a freebie for you if purchase $50 or more from Pink and Main – just while stocks last. You can see the whole new release here just as soon as it hits the store. Make sure you check out the other other gnome set – Gnome Matter What while you’re there – it’s big and amazing.

You can see the sweet little gnome stamp in the picture above. I’ve used just the images from that stamp set to make this large slimline card! He’s got enough character to pull that off!

I stamped the image 5 times, and coloured each gnome using the same colors for the faces, beards and clothing but a rainbow of colours for the hats, shows and flowers. ( I know that green flowers are just as real as gnomes!) I cut the gnomes using the matching die, and put them aside to make the background.

The card itself is 8 1/2″ (the width of a piece of cardstock) by 3 3/4 inches ( the size I could fold it to and still have enough left over card for my front panel. Yes, it’s that scientific!

The background was made by first masking off the bottom with a piece of post it tape, then blending a pale blue sky. I stamped the sentiment from the little set in black ink. I then ran the card through my die cutting machine with the fun spotty Let’s Polka embossing folder. I used a large plate for the bottom, and a smaller top plate from my Mini maker for the top, so that it only covered the blue part of the panel. This embossed just over half of the panel. I then slid the card along, until the dots popped into place further along, and ran it through my cutter again the same way. This way I was able to stretch my embossing folder to slimline size.

Once that was done, it was jut a matter of putting the card together. I used foam tape behind the panel, and regular glue for the gnomes. A simple, fun card that uses the sweetest little stamp to create a great big card!

Don’t forget to pop over and check out the new releases at Pink and Main. I have a feeling that a couple of these stamps won’t last long.

Please stay safe everybody.

Blessings

Donna
