Positive Vibes..Sneak Peek!

Hello and welcome back!! Laurie here to share a sneak peek at what’s coming your way from Pink & Main!! This is a very exciting and unique release and a staple for any cardmaker!!

This release is all about…sentiments!! For any occasion you can think of, we’ve got a sentiment for you! I chose to use the new Forever in My Heart Stamp Set along with new Sentiment Strip Dies. Let me take a moment to talk about this die set! It has a total of 14 dies to fit every small sentiment in the new sentiment stamp sets! Can I say, must have :)? Let’s have a look at the card I made for you today!

I started by marking of 8 equal areas on an A2 sized card front. First mark corner to corner to form an “x” in the centre, then make a vertical and horizontal line, just like this..

I used strips of painter’s tape to mask of each section then applied rainbow colours of Distress Ink.

By about the 5th section, I needed to switch up the tape as it was losing its stick. I did end up with a few smudges and a couple of spot where I was a bit too aggressive taking the tape off but it doesn’t really matter. I added some water splatters and it hid the imperfections well!

I used the largest of the Stitched Rounded Rectangle Dies to cut the panel down. I heat embossed the large sentiment in white in the centre of the panel. To kick things up a notch, I decided to use a heart die and cut out the centre of the panel.

I adhered the rainbow panel to a white card base. I used the same heart die to cut out a piece of craft foam and adhered it the positive piece. It’s just a matter of puzzle piecing it back into panel.

I think the result is pretty cool! I added a couple of sub sentiments using grey cardstock and white heat embossing and of course, those awesome sentiment dies!! I foam mounted the sentiment strips using foam adhesive.

To finish off, I added a few of my absolute favourite embellishment…Rainbow Glossy Dots!!
