Oh, Happy Day

Hello, hello! It’s Donna here, checking in from sunny Tokyo. Spring is here, the cherry blossoms are here, and I can’t seem to stop using pink for all the things! I’m here to share in some exciting news- Pink and Main is starting a “Stamp of the Month” club! What a great idea! You can choose either ‘stamp only‘ or ‘stamp plus matching die’ options. Here is the first stamp off the press!

I have good reason to use this stamp set, and the Happy Day sentiment today. One of my husband’s co-workers has had twin baby girls! Happy day, indeed!

I stamped the images from the in alcohol friendly ink and coloured them with my Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out.

The papers on this card both come from the Happy Paper Pad which is part of Pink and Main’s February release. It’s a super fun, bright pad with some gorgeous modern florals as well as checks (plaid), chevrons and polka dots.

The background is made using a piece of white card. I first ink blended a little light blue onto the centre of the panel using Pink and Main’s Ergonomic Blending Brush. This is my go-to blending brush, especially for larger areas of a card. I then ran the panel through my die cutting machine with the Let’s Polka embossing folder. What a fun embossing folder! I’m using it all the time.

I cut the embossed panel to slightly smaller than the card, then trimmed the plaid paper to the same width, as well as the sliver of green paper. Other than the Polka dot panel, everything is stuck down with foam tape for extra bouncy dimension.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed this fun card, and that you too have reasons to celebrate at the moment.

Until next time,

Blessings,

Donna
