Non traditional cacti

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here again with a non traditional cacti thank you card. Sometimes it is so fun to try different or extraordinary colours while colouring plants. This is what I made today:

I stamped the cute cacti from the Succulents set on white cardstock and pulled out some blue and purple Copic markers. The plant itself I made with aqua colours. I like the result, so cool! I used the coordinating die to cut it out.

Then I die cut 3 Lacy borders from purple, blue and aqua cardstock and adhered them on a top folding white notecard leaving a bit of space in between them. I also de cut a small white and a bigger blue panels with the Stitched Rectangle 2 dies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Succulent set (I love the style of them so much!) using aqua toned ink which matched my cardstock and popped up the cacti with 3D foam square.

I added an in between aqua layer when adhereing the rectangles on top of each other and used again 3D foam squares to pop it up on the card base. I added a bit of shimmer to the pot and glossy accets to the “lips, hair and cheeks” to make it super special.

I hope you like my unusual cacti and will try this technique yourself. Please make sure to show your creations in our Facebook group.

See you soon!

Zsofi
