Monthly Card Challenge #9: Favorite Things

It’s time to kick off our monthly challenge for September! Our challenges begin on the second Friday of each month, and each month will have a different theme. We hope you’ll use it as inspiration to create a card!

This month’s theme is: Favorite Things!

We challenge you to incorporate your favorite things onto your card or project! You can quite literally use your favorite products or techniques, or get creative and use stamps or dies to represent your favorite things (example: cooking, the beach, gardening, Taylor Swift, you name it!). We can’t wait to see what you share!

Pink & Main products are encouraged on your challenge card, but not required. We just want to see what this month’s theme inspires you to create! You can enter your cards for this month’s challenge in one of two ways: in the Inlinkz link-up at the bottom of this post, or in the September album in our Pink & Main Creations Gallery Facebook Group. Enter for a chance to win a Pink & Main store credit worth $25.

Submissions close on Wednesday, October 8 at 11:59pm ET. The winning entry will be selected randomly and posted with the next new challenge blog post.

Now let’s take a look at what the Pink & Main Challenge Team created with this month’s sketch!

BreAnn represented several of her favorite things on her card – the color purple, sunflowers, and one of her favorite techniques, ink smooshing! Products used: Sunflowers Pop Up Card Dies, Burlap Embossing Folder, Loving Sentiments Foilables®

About his card, Brennan said, “I chose flowers and embossed resist for the technique as those are two of my favorite things when it comes to cardmaking!” Products used: The Gift of You, Roundabout Embossing Folder

Dominique shared, “So this one may be slightly misleading. I don’t love penguins, but I love cute things, cupcakes, and birthdays 🙂” Products used: Party Penguins, Fun Pastels 6×6 Paper Pad

According to Jennifer, “My favorite things: ink blending and Thai Tea with Boba, and probably adorable critters, too.” Products used: Pumpkin Spice Cuties, Burlap Embossing Folder, Lots of Leaves Dies, Simple Greetings Dies, Simple Greetings Stickies, City Lights Silver CheerFoil®

Michelle’s card is pretty self explanatory – her favorite thing is crafting! Products used: Crafty Pals, Beach Babe 6×6 Paper Pad

Rosie says, “Don’t judge my favorite thing. 😂 It’s not actual alcohol, it’s this drink collection!” Products used: Bottoms Up, Cocktails Dies, Retro Cocktails Stencil, Loopy Frame Dies

We loved seeing all of your Sketch Challenge cards from the August challenge! We randomly chose a winner from all of the entries – congratulations to Judy Richards, who shared her project in the August album in the Pink & Main Creation Gallery Facebook Group. Please send us an email to support@pinkandmain.com to claim your $25 store credit!

Now it’s your turn, we hope you’ll play along! You have until Wednesday, October 8 at 11:59pm ET to add your link to your NEW CREATION using our theme to be eligible for the prize of a $25 store credit. (Cards created prior to this challenge are not acceptable entries.) The winner will be chosen at random, so everyone has a chance! Simply post your card photo someplace with public access – a blog, social media post, or host site that displays your entry – and add it into the Inlinkz link-up below. OR, add it to the September album in the Pink & Main Creations Gallery Facebook Group.

If you’re new to playing along with a challenge and uploading via Inlinkz, Brennan has kindly created a little video to walk you through the process. Watch it below, or HERE on YouTube.

Good luck and have fun playing!

Our initial linkup closed early, so we’ve add a “Part 2”. Our apologies! You can also upload to our Facebook group.
