Merry Christmas Deer Friend

Happy Tuesday and Happy almost Thanksgiving in the USA. I have a fun card for you today, though it is not Thanksgiving themed, but Christmas themed.

OK, I love these long legged friends that we have in the shop. This deer from Deer Friend is particularly fun this time of year.

I made this by stamping out the image using my Misti and black ink. After that I colored it using my Copics (E21, E31, E33, E35, YR21, R20, C7, C5, C1). I die cut it using the corresponding Deer Friend Die set. Next, I used a glue pen followed by some Cashmere Flock on the antlers. so they would be nice and fuzzy. Next, I cut some white cardstock to a mini slimline size. I used the Homespun Christmas Kit Stencil with my Mini Ergo Blending Brush using Distress Oxides Festive Berries, Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles and Salvaged Patina. I mounted that layer onto a red panel with my EZ Tear Tape. I stamped my sentiment in black and mounted my deer with foam tape. Lastly I added Starlight Gems using glue dots.

I think it is pretty darn cute and I am especially happy with those fuzzy antlers. I hope you like it too. Be sure to visit the shop and check out IG and FB for more inspiration.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving if you are here in the US, if it isn’t Thanksgiving to you then enjoy your week! ~Katie
