Just for you

Hello Everyone,

It is Zsofi here and I am back with a clean and simple card design which could easily be altered to serve as wedding cards too. Let me show you how to make a faux metallic embellishment out of your die cuts.

I started with cutting the Floral mail die 4 times from heavy weight white cardstock and adhered them on top of each other. Then I pressed my embossing ink pad onto the surface of the die cut and poured gold embossing powder on top. I heat set it with my heat tool and pressed the embossing ink ink pad again on the surface. I covered it with gold embossing powder again and heat set it.

I repeated this one more time so the final piece has 3 layers of embossing. I love how thick and rounded it becomes, looks like a piece of metal. And it is so smooth to touch! Lovely!

I kept the rest of the card simple: I cut a piece of patterned paper down to cover the front of an A2 sized notecard using The Shore paper pad.

As for the sentiment I used one from the Sent with love set from Tammy Tutterow. I masked off the bottom of the sentiment with washi tape and inked it up with a brown ink. I used my stamp positioner to make sure I can stamp back again if necessary. I did the same with the other half of the sentiment too.

I used liquid glue to adhere the embellishment in the middle and filled the heart with tiny little seed beads. I also added Icicle Stickles to the middle of the flowers for an extra sparkly look.

I hope you enjoyed today’s tricks and will give it a try. Until next time, happy crafting!

Zsofi
