Joy to the World

Hello Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here. I’m typing this sitting under the best Japanese invention I know of. It’s called a Kotatsu, an it’s a mix between a low table, a quilt and an electric heater. Heaven! ( Apart from the constant temptation to fall asleep!) I have a set of three cards for you today.

I have stamped one of the adorable angels from the Little Angels Stamp and coloured her three times. Isn’t she absolutely the sweetest? She is part of a set of angels that all have this lovely innocence.

I used Tattered Rose Distress Ink to do my stamping. This light pink colour was nicely covered by the pencil for some no line colouring. I wanted to test the properties of different papers with my Polychomos pencils. And I can tell you, it makes quite a difference. The papers were Neenah Kraft, a rough watercolour paper, and grey toned drawing paper. The more texture the paper had, the richer the colors were, but the more textured the look of the image, because the pencil ‘skips’ the valleys, as you can see below.

The sentiment for today’s card comes from the Holly Jolly Stamp set which came out last year. I use this set all the time on my Christmas cards. I love the fonts. I used the Stitched Rectangle 2 die to cut the panels. If you’ve been following me long enough, you’ll know I used these on pretty much every card I make.

I look forward to sharing these cards with family and friends!

Until next time, may your days be gentle, and your words kind.

Blessings

Donna
