It’s all going swimmingly!

Hi Pink and Main friends. It’s Donna here, and this is most absolutely my last post from Japan. My whole house is in boxes! You may notice that I have had to photograph my card with no lighting, no background, no desk, no stamps to style it with, nothing! Still, I think this little cutie manages to steal the show all on her own.

I’ve made my main element using a tag from the Fancy Tag Dies set. The ocean is made from two papers from the Vitamin Sea paper pack. I fussy cut the blue paper with my scissors, following the lines on the paper. The yellow sandy coloured paper was cut using an older Pink and Main die which cut stitched hills. I cut the bottoms of both these pieces using the Fancy Tag die.

I stamped the mermaid head and tail from the Be a Mermaid stamp set with Memento ink, and coloured them with my Copic Markers. I then used the matching Be a Mermaid dies to cut them out. I tucked these into my tag at different places. I had quite a bit of fun making contortionist mermaids, before settling on an anatomically possible layout!

I adhered the tag to my card, and added a bunch of ‘bubbles’ using lots of Unicorn pearls. I love the dimension and luminescence of these pearls. I haven’t added a sentiment yet, but as soon as the stamp comes out of the boxes, I will, because there are so many sweet yet punny sentiments in the set.

Until next time, may your days be filled with fun and laughter. The next time you hear from me, I’ll be in Australia.

Blessings

Donna
